Shipping Services

Providing services to the shipping industry is the core of Gulf Agency Company's business.
GAC has steadily expanded its range of activities during 40 years of operation and is continually looking for new ways to better serve its Principals.

	Shipping Agency
	GAC represents the interests of over 3,500 Principals worldwide and attends to over 19,000 ships annually. GAC is the local shipping agent with strong local partners and an international reputation, operating with offices on four continents. GAC also acts as correspondent for many reputed P&I clubs.

	Ships' Supply Services
	GAC's Ships' Supply Service operates round-the-clock with a fleet of its own high-speed, air-conditioned crew and supply boats based in Bahrain, Dubai, Fujairah and Ras Al Khaimah. A much welcomed addition is GAC's supply service out of Galle/ Dondra Head, on the southern tip of Sri Lanka; a location close to the major international East-West shipping lanes. The GAC Ships' Supply Service is a complete service package for crew changes, delivery of stores, spares, provisions and mail, as well as assisting in case of emergency. This service is carried out with an unparalleled safety record. Additionally, GAC can arrange crew changes and supply of spares, etc. in all ports and terminals where they operate.

	Suez Canal Transit Service
	GAC is on the spot in the Suez Canal as the intermediary for transit co-ordination, funds transfer and efficient communication. With local offices in the Canal, GAC is able to ensure a smooth and prompt transit.

	Bosphorus Transit Service
	GAC acts as transit agent and assists with crew changes, clearing and delivery of ships' spares, stores, mail and provisions, as well as arranging for bunker supplies to vessels transiting the Bosphorus and the Dardanelles.

	P&I
	In its capacity as correspondent for most of the International P&I Clubs , the GAC Group assists with such matters as claims, legal assistance and surveys. GAC has both the local and international knowledge to deal with any problems encountered, providing immediate round-the-clock assistance to Masters, Owners/Operators and P&I Clubs in relation to any incident which may result in a claim.

	Ship-to-Ship Transfer
	GAC undertakes transfer between vessels of any size. GAC offers a complete package for transfer of crude oil, petro-chemical products and liquefied gas, including necessary equipment, documentation, land-based backup and communication. The transfer operation is supervised by GAC's experienced pilots and loading masters; no special previous training is required for Master or crew.

	Bunkers & Lubricants
	GAC arranges for reliable supplies of bunkers and lubricants in the Middle East Gulf, Gulf of Oman, Yemen, the Red Sea, the Suez Canal, Pakistan, Singapore, Hong Kong, People's Republic of China, Nigeria and in other major bunkering locations.

	Communications
	GAC has always regarded efficient communications a vital part of its service to Principals. GAC uses the most modern communication methods tailored to suit the needs of its Principals. This includes satellite communication, e-mail and EDI. GAC displays its own page on Internet.

	Information Service
	The bi-monthly "GAC News" bulletin contains information on port conditions and updates on local regulations. GAC Contact and Representation offices in the Far East, USA and Europe assist Principals with information regarding conditions in the GAC areas of operation as well as with relaying messages to operations office.

	Local Canvassing and Marketing
	In local markets, GAC supports its Principals with effective canvassing to secure cargo leads and bookings. GAC also provides up to date information on shipping and cargo movements, including in-depth market and competition analyses.

	Repair Yard Representation
	GAC acts as agent for a number of major ship repair yards worldwide. GAC regularly arranges the drydocking and repairs of a substantial number of vessels. The services include anything from small repairs to a full overhaul and drydocking, as well as comprehensive conversions.

Offshore and Marine Services

GAC owns and operates a large fleet of marine craft, including AHT/supply vessels up to 3,600 bhp, utility boats, landing craft, tugs, barges and heavy lift equipment. The equipment can be individually modified to meet
specific requirements for a variety of applications.

	Offshore Support Services
	GAC has adapted its equipment and fleet to suit the particular needs of the offshore oil and construction industry, such as: Anchor handling Stand-by rescue Diving support Crew transfers Pipe & cable laying support Survey support Rig moves Berthing operations Dredging support Platform relocation

	Heavy Lift
	GAC owns and operates "Oscar X", a heavy lift floating crane with a lifting capacity of 300 tons, at a hook height of twenty metres above sea level.

	Project Cargo & Lighterage
	GAC's tug and barge combinations are used for project cargo and lighterage services in the U.A.E., as well as in remote coastal areas of the Gulf, Indian Ocean, Gulf of Oman and the Red Sea. The versatile fleet of tugs, barges and landing craft provides the company with the ability to undertake a wide range of tasks, from towage of barges and other craft or equipment, to carrying large project and heavy lift cargoes.

	Field Decommissioning, Salvage and Wreck Removal
	GAC undertakes the planning, engineering and execution of field decommissioning, salvage and wreck removal operations. At very short notice, GAC is able to assist vessels and installations in distress with crew rescue, fire fighting, cargo transfer, pollution control and emergency towage.

Cargo Services

GAC is a pioneer of innovative freight systems in the Middle East Gulf. Constantly striving to improve efficiency, GAC has added a number of new services to the more traditional ones of clearing and forwarding, project cargo handling, air freight, packing, warehousing and international moving. GAC Cargo Systems, with local offices in major centres throughout Asia, operates an extensive cargo services network for transport and distribution services.

	Distribution Services
	GAC handles all aspects of distributing brand name products in the Gulf. From GAC's own bonded warehouse and cold store in the Jebel Ali Free Trade Zone and from the Duty-Free Storage Area facilities in Port Rashid, GAC operates distribution services, including customs clearance, warehousing, re-packing and labelling. GAC also undertakes invoicing and local distribution for smaller exporters. By using this service, manufacturers and exporters can keep optimal stocks, resulting in better capital utilisation.

	CargoGulf
	CargoGulf is the leader in container groupage from Europe, the Far East and North America to the Middle East. CargoGulf specialises in LCL (Less than full Container Load) and offers weekly fixed day sailings. CargoGulf's fully negotiable bills of lading are issued under full carrier conditions. CargoGulf offers a complete service package, including customs clearance, local delivery and inter-Gulf distribution.

	AirGulf Express
	AirGulf Express is a competitive airfreight service from all parts of the world, tailor-made to meet the requirements of Middle East importers.

	International Moving

	SeaAirGulf
	Sea/air cargo is time sensitive. With efficient logistics, GAC cuts transit times. The combined sea and air voyage allows for competitive prices. SeaAirGulf transports cargo, door-to-door, from the Far East and Indian subcontinent, via Dubai or US West Coast, to destinations in Europe, USA and South America.
